Hand dyed, hand painted, color blocked, silk dress. This dress is an original hand-painted, crepe de chine silk batik pieced with black crepe de chine and a sheer textured silk chiffon upper back panel. This dress is one of only two garments created from a single piece of hand painted wax batik silk. It is very light weight, and drapes beautifully on. It is the ultimate vacation dress and perfect for the any occasion. It makes a great traveling companion, because it is light weight and quick drying, but also because of it versatility. Front facing, it has a scoop neckline, but it can also be turned around, with the front facing backward, for a higher crew neckline. This piece is finished with French seams and hand-painted, hand-dyed bias, inside and out. It is one size, and fits up to an extra large.

Because of the nature of the process there are variations in dye color and only contribute to the beauty and uniqueness of each hand made garment.

To care for this dress, hand wash in cold water, hang dry. Can also be washed on the gentle cycle, in a lingerie bag. Can be ironed if necessary. Sewn with meticulous care in Chicago.
