Hand dyed, hand painted, color blocked, silk three quarter length dress. This dress is a combination of hand-painted batik, crepe de chine silk and textured silk chiffon. This dress is one of only two garments created from a single piece of hand-painted wax batik silk. It is very light weight, and drapes beautifully on. It is an awesome day to evening dress. It makes a great traveling companion, because it is light weight and quick drying, and also because of its versatility. Front facing, it has a scoop neckline, but it can also be turned around, with the front facing backward, for a higher crew neckline. It can be layered with tights and long sleeves for cooler weather. This piece is finished with French seams and hand-painted, hand-dyed bias, inside and out. It is one size, and fits up to an extra large.

Because of the nature of the process there are variations in dye color and only contribute to the beauty and uniqueness of each hand made garment.

To care for this dress, hand wash in cold water, hang dry. Can also be washed on the gentle cycle, in a lingerie bag. Can be ironed if necessary. Sewn with meticulous care in Chicago.
