“There is a parallel between the process and the meditation found in creating any textile, to that which is found in Mother Nature's rhythms and undulating patterns. The perfect harmony of color, its hues, brightness, lightness and contrasts saturate the world around us.”

Gina Pannorfi is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has a great passion for process and throughout her life has explored many media. During her undergraduate studies she uncovered her love for fiber and textile design. "There is a quiet space one can enter in the practice of making textiles. For me there is a beautiful meditation in repetition. The constant practice of anything in one's life always leads to new openings and discoveries." As an extension of her education, Mrs. Pannorfi participated in an exchange at Art Studio Fuji; a textile and jewelry design studio in Florence, Italy. Upon her return stateside in August of 2004, she launched the first season's collection.
Gina Pannorfi’s work explores color, texture, pattern and process. She employs techniques grounded in ancient tradition, and uses them to design and create unique textiles that embody both painting and sculpture.  All of her work is created one piece at a time, by her, individually in her studio in Chicago. Her current work encompasses a collection of  28 styles of hand-dyed, hand-felted, silk and fine merino wool scarves and shawls. For the past 15 years, she has been traveling the country, selling her work at Fine Art and Fine Craft Fairs. Her line has also been carried in high end boutiques and museum stores world wide. Over the course of her felt-making career she has expanded her line into Home Decor; Creating a luxurious collection of hand felted silk and merino wool throws and wall hangings. In 2017 she decided to revisit the practice of Batik, an old love of hers. Using this wax resist process she hand-paints and hand-dyes fabric, that is transformed into capsule collections of one of a kind tops, dresses and classic square silk scarves. Gina is endlessly grateful for the appreciation people have for what she is doing. She feels blessed she has been given the gift to create something that contributes to the beauty in all of us. As her company continues to evolve, so does her unmistakable style!
